What happens during my first appointment?
Your first session begins with a short consultation - we'll chat about your goals, any injuries or areas of concern, your training load, and general health history. This helps tailor the treatment to exactly what your body needs. From there, you'll have a hands-on treatment, followed by some time to discuss aftercare advice and next steps.
What should I wear?
Please wear or bring comfortable, loose-fitting clothing. Depending on the area being assessed or treated, you may be asked to remove some outer layers of clothing. Towels will be provided where needed to ensure your comfort, privacy, and dignity throughout the session.
Will the massage be painful?

What should I do after my session?

Not at all. Whether you're a competitive athlete, someone who sits at a desk all day, or dealing with a niggling ache - despite the name, sports massage benefits anyone.
How is sports massage different from a relaxation massage?
Sports massage is more targeted and therapeutic. While relaxation massage focuses on general stress relief and wellbeing, sports massage addresses specific muscular issues, movement patterns, and recovery goals. It can involve deeper pressure and more active techniques.
What is cupping therapy?
Cupping involves placing cups on the skin to create a gentle suction effect. This draws blood flow to the area, loosens tight tissue, and helps the body release tension. It can be used alongside massage or as a standalone treatment.
Does cupping hurt?
Cupping shouldn't be painful - most people describe it as an unusual pulling sensation that becomes comfortable quickly. Some mild discomfort may be felt if the tissue is particularly tight.
Will cupping leave marks?
Cupping can leave circular marks on the skin ranging from pink to deep red or purple, depending on how much stagnation is present in the tissue. These are not bruises, but they can look dramatic! They typically fade within a few days to a week.
How many sessions will I need?
This varies depending on what you're coming in for. Some people feel a significant difference after one session, while others benefit from a short course of treatment. If you have multiple areas of concern, treatment may need to be spread across several sessions to ensure each issue receives the attention it needs. After your first appointment, a personalised treatment plan will be recommended based on your individual needs.

Cancellation Policy
What is your cancellation policy?
We ask for a minimum of 24 hours' notice if you need to cancel or reschedule your appointment. This allows the slot to be offered to someone else.
Cancellations made with less than 24 hours' notice, or no-shows - will be charged the full treatment cost. We understand that life happens, and exceptional circumstances will always be considered - please just get in touch as soon as you can.
